At Spotted Acres, care isn’t just a service—it’s a way of life rooted in trust, nature, and experience. Owner and operator Sherry Curran has spent over 20 years caring for dogs with the kind of attention, intuition, and consistency that only hands-on experience can teach.
Before founding Spotted Acres, Sherry served for years as a Supervisor and ACA Level 3 animal care professional with the Investigation Unit of the Ontario SPCA. There, she specialized in rehabilitating and caring for neglected and abused animals—work that demanded not only technical skill, but deep compassion, patience, and resilience. That experience continues to shape her approach today, especially when working with anxious, reactive, or special-needs dogs.
At Spotted Acres, Sherry brings that same level of care and professionalism to every dog she welcomes. Her calm, confident handling and individualized routines help dogs settle in and thrive—whether they’re high-energy, shy, or aging gracefully.
Located on a peaceful rural property in Augusta, Ontario, Spotted Acres offers dogs a retreat where fresh air, open space, and thoughtful care are part of everyday life. From welcoming nervous newcomers to coordinating care for a full house of spotted friends, Sherry brings clarity, warmth, and professionalism to every interaction.
